The Personal Expert Associate
for International Development
Consultants and Teams

Sherpa works for you across the whole consulting lifecycle. He delivers based on your goals, context, record, and steer.

Two ways to start. The Terrain — his briefing on your world, built on your record. The Pursuit — help with a live tender.

See a complete Terrain sample first

Both free to start, and the whole ask is small — who you are, your CV, what you’re chasing. Whatever you send stays yours: never used to train models we control, deleted on request.

An email from Sherpa, subject 'Re: the coastal-resilience TA call — my read'. The verdict reads CONDITIONAL — two things to close first, followed by a verdict strip (evidence: 4 of 6 criteria; binding gate: the no-objection letter; deadline: 12 days — enough) and a list of what winning will take.

A worked example. A real one arrives in your inbox, built on your record.

The Terrain — his briefing.

The most valuable, most personalised read of your world he can build from what you give him — CV, context, goals. What’s moving, what fits you, what to do next. The more he has, the better it gets. The first one is free.

Request your first Terrain — free

The Pursuit — help with the tender on your desk.

The honest verdict on a live tender or application — and the route from there: what winning will take, the gaps found while they’re still closable, every claim sourced from the funder’s own rules and your record.

Send him a live tender

Whatever you send — a CV or a client’s tender — stays private to you: isolated at the database layer, never used to train models we control, deleted on request. Client material is handled as theirs, not ours. How your material is handled

Personal. Expert. Associate. Each word earned.

Personal

He works from your record — your projects, your voice, your rates, your corrections. Two consultants asking him the same question get different answers, because the right answer depends on who is asking.

One memory runs underneath every tier, and it never resets.

Expert

He knows the field, not just the language of it — funder logic, donor rules, and what reviewers actually score. Deepest in climate and development finance, at home well beyond it.

He cites what he claims, and says when something is outside his depth.

Associate

An AI associate who works like a colleague — not software you operate. You email him the way you would email anyone on your team. He drafts; you decide.

The judgment — and the outcomes — stay yours.

Four stages, and the work he hands back at each one.

Everything below is a worked example of what actually arrives — not a picture of a product.

01 · FIND

The terrain, watched for you.

Sherpa scans the funding terrain against your record and pipeline — what is worth your week and what to skip, each with the reason stated, every item gate-checked for eligibility before it is ranked.

What it replaces — the evenings of portal-scanning.

A Terrain report page. Eleven calls scanned; three listed as worth your week with the reason and effort for each; two skipped with the reason; and a section headed 'What I am still guessing at'.

Terrain № 001, delivered as a PDF by email.

02 · SECURE

An honest verdict, then the review before the review.

Go or no-go with the win economics behind it. Then the compliance matrix against the funder's own requirements, and a first draft built from your record, in your voice, every claim sourced. A cold panel reads your draft the way the funder’s own reviewers will — for GCF work, that means iTAP.

What it replaces — the three-week bid grind, and the doomed ones entirely.

A spreadsheet titled 'coastal-resilience-TA — compliance matrix.xlsx'. Eleven mandatory requirements are listed against the funder's own section references, each marked Met, Partial or GAP, with the evidence from the consultant's record beside it. A footer reads 41 mandatory requirements mapped, 2 gaps, 2 partial.

Forty-one requirements mapped; both gaps found on day two, not day twenty.

03 · DELIVER

The work you won, carried.

He helps carry the delivery itself — inception to final report. Deliverables drafted from your notes and his research, in your voice; the logframe watched; deadlines tracked against the contract; problems raised in week one rather than in the final report.

What it replaces — the 11pm reporting scramble.

A month calendar for an off-grid solar portfolio evaluation in Kenya, with nine dates tracked against the contract: kick-off held, baseline note, logframe review with one indicator flagged, a client checkpoint under contract clause 7.2, inception draft v1, and the inception report due on day 30.

Nine dates, read off the contract, including the one at clause 7.2.

04 · GROW

A practice that compounds.

Every win, loss and correction lands in your record and changes what he brings you next. Your evidence base grows itself; partner shortlists come from your own history.

What it replaces — starting from zero, every single time.

A quarterly practice review: three pursuits open and one submitted, twelve new evidence proof points, day rate benchmarked and held, two vetted co-leads added, nineteen corrections applied and sixty-four calls filtered without asking — followed by a note on what to change next quarter.

The quarterly review, including the part that argues with you.

He remembers. That’s what makes him yours.

Same tender shape, a year apart. Two consultants asking the same question get different answers — and so do you, a year on.

Week one

Built from your CV, three questions, and the folder you sent.

Terrain № 001: eleven calls scanned, three worth the week, and an open section admitting what Sherpa is still guessing at — the day rate, the appetite for consortium work.

One year in

Built from fifty-one Terrains: 4 wins, 7 losses, 63 corrections.

Terrain № 052: thirty-one calls scanned, nine cleared the gate, two are yours; twenty-two calls filtered without asking you; four of six criteria answered from your evidence library; and a note that the two calls ranked first cite your evidence library and your partner bench — a year ago the same read had only your CV to stand on.

By week nine he had stopped bringing you the twenty-two.

The year-one read is built from fifty-one Terrains of that consultant’s record — 4 wins, 7 losses, 63 corrections, an evidence library and a vetted partner bench. None of it was re-entered. That is the memory.

Memory

Your past work and how you work. Your rates, your sectors, your goals. Every steer, note and correction along the way. He holds all of it and brings the right piece back when it matters — he does not forget what you told him in March.

Personal

And everything he hands you is shaped by it: your voice in the drafts, your rates in the numbers, and the calls you told him to stop bringing simply absent from the list. The same question, asked by a colleague, comes back differently.

His best value comes with the right context and input — the better he knows you, your world and your goals, the better the help.

He lives in your inbox.

Forward a tender, reply with a correction, ask what you’d ask across the desk — no dashboard to learn, no prompts to engineer. A web app is coming, and more surfaces follow where your work happens — he meets you where you are.

An inbox message list: a week of Sherpa — Monday's Terrain, Tuesday's Pursuit, Thursday's draft with the compliance matrix, Friday's correction absorbed everywhere.

A worked example. Illustrative — a real week arrives in your own inbox.

Whatever your domain, he works it.

Trained deep on a growing set of domains — and competent across the breadth of international development. Coverage is tiered, the tier is stated, not implied — and no domain in the field is refused.

The Terrain, the Pursuit, the products.

One memory underneath, four ways to carry on.

Before any of them: your first Terrain is free, either way. No card, no call — who you are, your CV, and what you’re chasing. It stays free whether or not you take a seat.

Get your first Terrain — free

The Terrain

$20 / month

Waitlist

“Tell me what's happening.”

The standing brief on your world, read against your record — with alert-class notes when something you track moves. Your first Terrain is free either way.

Your Associate

$100 / month

Waitlist · opens with online payments

“Work with me.”

The full relationship, month to month — Pursuits, drafts, deadlines, the practice memory. Opens with online payments; the founding seats are the way in today.

The Founding Twenty

$1,200 for the yearper person, invoiced up front · a firm seat from $3,600/yr

Twenty seats · one intake · by invitation

A year inside the build.

Not a cheaper Associate — the same year of the same work. What the seat buys is access: Ron Sircar, the founder, on the other end of the thread, your live problems shaping what gets built next — and a price that never rises while you stay. It’s Sherpa’s founding period, and these twenty practices are where his track record starts.

It starts with a conversation, not a checkout.

Summit

From $1,000 / goal

One goal, not a subscription · scoped and priced in writing before it starts · by request

“See this one through with me.”

Not a rung on the ladder above — one named goal, worked together to the finish, with a person in the work with you. What “done” means is defined first, in writing; the judgment, the relationships and the call stay yours.

Your judgment stays yours. So does everything else.

The mechanisms

  • Isolated — your material is separated from every other user's at the database layer.
  • Never used to train models we control — and the third-party providers who power him are named on the trust page: what each one receives, and that none trains on your material.
  • Deletable — and leavable. Ask, and it is removed from our live systems within 30 days and from archives three months after the engagement ends — confirmed when it is done. Everything he holds for you comes back whenever you want it. Your context is not an asset we retain to keep you here.

Where it actually lives

  • In the EU. Database and file storage run in an EU region, encrypted at rest on managed infrastructure.
  • The access list is one person long — and he has a name. Ron Sircar, the founder: ten-plus years in international development across Africa and South Asia, with the World Bank and UK Aid. Hands-on work with your material stays something you choose (Summit), never a default.
  • Never shown to another member. Client and third-party material is handled as theirs, not ours.

A quieter way to work.

The evenings back. The morning that starts with the two things worth your week. The bid you didn't chase, and the one you won because you had time to do it properly.

Who you are, your CV, and whatever you’re chasing — that’s the whole form. Sherpa replies, your first Terrain follows, and every one after gets sharper.
